Russia and Indonesia discuss security in the Asia-Pacific region

Lavrov and Marsudi address the security architecture in the Asia-Pacific and UN cooperation, signing a consultation plan.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi met in Vientiane to discuss security in the Asia-Pacific region and cooperation within the UN.

During the meeting, they emphasized the importance of bilateral collaboration and signed a consultation plan between their ministries for the 2024-2026 period.

Lavrov’s visit to Laos also includes participation in meetings with other ASEAN ministers and the ASEAN Regional Forum, focusing on security and regional cooperation issues.
