Major General Hossein Salami, Chief Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), stated that US policies are responsible for the rise of Takfiri terrorism and disunity in the Islamic world. Salami made the comment during a rally in Tehran to commemorate National Student Day, which also marks the anniversary of the takeover of the former US Embassy in Iran in 1979.
