Iranian and Chinese diplomats discuss deepening strategic partnership

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi met with Chinese Deputy FM Deng Li in Riyadh to follow up on the Beijing-brokered rapprochement deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Takht Ravanchi highlighted the recent meeting between Chinese and Iranian presidents at the BRICS summit in Russia, focusing on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership and implementing existing agreements.

Deng expressed China’s readiness to expand cooperation with Iran, utilizing all capacities including China’s chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2025.

The diplomats also exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasizing cooperation and mutual interests.
