China revealed the Jetank heavy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai, showcasing its missile, bomb, and drone-carrying capabilities.
The Jetank has a maximum takeoff weight of 16 tons, a payload capacity of six tons, and a wingspan of 25 meters, making it a next-generation large unmanned aerial utility platform.
Equipped with a radar system and electro-optical pod, the Jetank offers exceptional battlefield situational awareness and remote control via satellite link, as stated by Chinese military aviation expert Fu Qianshao.
With the ability to carry a variety of weapons and equipment comparable to modern fighter jets, the Jetank can also house smaller swarm drones in an isomerism hive module for different missions.
