US Treasury expands Russia sanctions list

Restrictions added to individuals and entities in Russia sanctions list

The US Department of the Treasury has expanded its sanctions lists for Russia, imposing restrictions on five individuals and five legal entities. The latest additions include three Russian citizens, a Latvian citizen, and a Ukrainian citizen.

The sanctioned entities are based in various countries such as the US, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the UAE, and have offices in London, Moscow, Riga, Singapore, and Istanbul.

In a statement, Matthew Miller, the head of the US State Department press service, revealed that the individuals targeted are linked to the TGR Group, an international network allegedly involved in circumventing sanctions on behalf of Russian elites.

The sanctions were implemented in coordination with the UK’s National Crime Agency as part of efforts to combat illicit financial activities and uphold international sanctions against Russia.
