A Boeing 737-800 aircraft of Jeju Air exploded upon landing in Muan, South Korea, resulting in 179 fatalities.
There were 181 people on board, including 175 passengers and six crew members, with only two crew members rescued from the burning plane.
The accident occurred around 9 am local time on Sunday, with images showing the entire burnt aircraft except for the tail, and numerous emergency vehicles at the scene.
The cause of the accident is presumed to be a collision with birds in adverse weather conditions, with the exact cause to be determined after a joint investigation.
