On Thursday (2), the 28 secretaries of Mayor João Campos’ second administration took office at the helm of the Recife City Hall, along with the city attorney and special cabinet chiefs. Most of the secretaries are those who have been leading these departments in Campos’ first term. However, there are also new names, especially political leaders, whose appointments help the mayor accommodate allies and consolidate his base for 2026.
