Russian fiber-optic drone destroys enemy vehicle in border region

A new fiber-optic FPV drone, named Knyaz Vandal of Novgorod, operated by a Russian brigade, successfully took down a Ukrainian combat vehicle in the Kursk Region.

The drone, engineered by the Ushkuinik research and production center, was tested in August 2024 during a military operation against Ukrainian forces.

Designed to be immune to enemy jamming, the FPV fiber-optic drone aids in accomplishing various tasks efficiently on the battlefield.

Russian forces have reportedly destroyed NATO equipment worth over $300 million using these advanced drones in special military operations in Ukraine.
