On March 5, the third session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) and the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will convene in Beijing.
At 9 a.m., the NPC will commence its opening meeting at the Great Hall of the People where NPC deputies will hear Premier Li Qiang deliver the government work report.
NPC deputies will review various plans and budgets for the years 2024 and 2025, including the national economic and social development plans and central/local budgets.
In the afternoon, NPC delegations will deliberate the government work report while members of the CPPCC National Committee will sit in and hold group meetings to discuss reports and proposal handling.
