Iranian Vice President Mohammad Eslami inaugurated the production line of Iridium hexafluoride (IrF6), a key material used in various industries, including medical and oil and gas, at Isfahan’s Shahid Raeisi Nuclear Site.
With the project’s inauguration, Iran has achieved self-sufficiency in producing IrF6, joining a select group of countries with this technology.
IrF6 is utilized in brachytherapy, medical radiography, and in the production of IR192 for oil and gas industries, among other applications.
Eslami is scheduled to travel to Yazd Province to inaugurate additional nuclear technology projects on the eve of the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
