Bringing Agrarian Reform to the Table in Real Food Program

Highlighting healthy recipes from Armazém do Campo and chef Gema Soto.

In 2025, the Bem Viver program returns with a new season, promoting a lighter, sustainable lifestyle connected to the earth. The season premiere aims to spread healthy eating habits, well-being, culture, and popular health, while also highlighting agroecology, agrarian reform, and rural settlements.

One of the highlights is the “Real Food” segment, featuring tasty and nutritious recipes made with ingredients from agrarian reform and sold by Armazém do Campo. Chef Gema Soto, a Venezuelan refugee, shares recipes that combine tradition, sustainability, and affection.

Gema emphasizes the importance of valuing recipes that tell stories of people and encounters, promoting sustainability, and respecting those who work to feed us.

The program also showcases projects like Farmácia Viva, exploring the benefits of herbal therapy for public health, and dives into the history of the Amazon with live public classes in Belém.
