Chamber asks for reconsideration or revocation of STF decision

Chamber requests review of decision suspending amendments

The Chamber of Deputies sent information to the Supreme Federal Court (STF) regarding the approval of amendments indicated by committees, as requested by Minister Flávio Dino. In his decision, the judge suspended the payment of R$4.2 billion for 5,449 parliamentary amendments, known as RP-8, due to lack of collective deliberations.

Now, in the document sent to the STF, the Chamber requested the revocation of the decision that suspended the release of the amendments. They argue that the approval records are publicly available online and that the process followed current legislation and official legal interpretations, refuting allegations of irregularities.

The response includes justifications for the temporary suspension of committee meetings and highlights the risk of public health damage if the judicial measures are upheld. Finally, the Chamber requests the judicial decision to be reconsidered.

All amendments indicated in the General Office were promptly approved by committee meetings in due form, documented in minutes published on the internet, states a passage from the document.
