China and Thailand to conduct joint air drills

China and Thailand will hold joint air drills to enhance tactical skills and military cooperation.

China and Thailand are set to conduct joint air exercises at a Thai air force base, as announced by the Chinese Ministry of Defense. The drills, scheduled for August 29, 2024, will involve multiple types of Chinese fighter jets and special operations forces.

The exercises aim to improve combat tactics, air operations, and cooperation between the two nations’ militaries.

According to reports, the drills may include aerial combat, airborne tasks, and the defense of airports and anti-aircraft positions, strengthening regional security and mutual understanding.
