China monitors Philippine resupply to grounded ship at disputed South China Sea reef, calls for cooperation.

China’s coast guard is closely monitoring a resupply operation by a civilian Philippine vessel to its military ship grounded at Ren’ai Jiao, in the South China Sea, according to spokesperson Gan Yu.

The resupply of essential living items was a temporary measure agreed upon by both countries, with China’s coast guard overseeing the process.

Gan expressed hope for continued cooperation from the Philippines to manage the situation.

He also reaffirmed that China will maintain its maritime law enforcement activities in the Nansha Qundao, including Ren’ai Jiao, and nearby waters.
