China’s central government and the HKSAR authorities strongly condemned the UK for fabricating accusations against three men charged with assisting Hong Kong’s foreign intelligence service in Britain.
The trio, including a retired Hong Kong police officer, a UK Border Force employee, and a British security specialist, were arrested under the National Security Act.
China firmly rejects the UK’s fabrications and demands correction of wrongdoing, urging an end to baseless accusations and harassment of Chinese citizens.
The HKSAR government demands fair treatment of the accused, protection of office personnel, and respect for the Economic and Trade Office’s operations.
