Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed his concern over the closure of Iran’s Consulates in Germany, labeling it as a sanction targeting Iranians residing in the country.
Araghchi highlighted that the majority of Iranians affected by this decision also hold German citizenship, further complicating the situation.
He emphasized the unjust nature of the German government’s actions, which penalize tens of thousands of Iranians with German passports for the actions of a single terrorist.
The top diplomat assured Iranian citizens in Germany of efforts being made to mitigate the inconvenience caused by strengthening the consular services at the Iranian embassy in Berlin and other nearby diplomatic missions.
