Minister Flávio Dino suspended the payment of around $4.2 billion allocated to 5,449 parliamentary amendments by the Congress, known as RP-8.
The decision comes in response to a request from Psol, questioning the legality of a new form of secret budget adopted by Lira and allies.
Dino ordered the Police Federal to open an inquiry into the case and demanded that the House of Deputies publish the minutes of the meetings where the 5,449 amendments were approved.
He emphasized the importance of transparency and legality in the use of public funds, highlighting the need for adherence to constitutional duties and regulations.
