The EU’s new anti-Russian sanctions could impact companies in China, Turkey, and other countries accused of helping Russia evade restrictive measures, Bloomberg reported.
Besides targeting companies, Brussels is considering imposing restrictions on software and technologies allegedly utilized in weapons systems.
However, the consensus on the 16th package of measures remains uncertain as some countries, like Hungary, oppose tightening anti-Russian sanctions.
According to reports, the European Commission is set to present the draft measures to EU representatives, with a focus on restrictions that may not include a complete ban on Russian LNG imports.
