Iran and Russia to Strengthen Regional Cooperation

Iran and Russia to continue cooperation in various fields.

Iran’s Ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, highlighted the signing of the joint comprehensive strategic agreement between Tehran and Moscow as the legal basis of their bilateral relations for the next five years.

Jalali emphasized that the two countries will continue their cooperation at the regional level, with 2024 being a significant year for Iran-Russia relations.

He mentioned the exchange of political, security, and defense delegations between the two countries, along with notable progress in economic relations.

Jalali also discussed the Iran-Russia cooperation in the North-South International Corridor, particularly the upcoming signing of the Rasht-Astarar railroad project agreement as a crucial step in the corridor’s development.
