Iran declares national mourning for Hanie’s Martyrdom

Iran declares 3 days of national mourning for the martyrdom of HAMAS leader Ismail Hanie in Tehran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has declared three days of national mourning following the martyrdom of Ismail Hanie, the head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement of Palestine (HAMAS), in an assassination in Tehran.

The Iranian government condemned the martyrdom in a statement, denouncing the assassination of a diplomatic guest in its territory as a violation of all international norms and human principles.

The statement highlighted that the act exposes the terrorist nature of the responsible regime and underscores that no one is immune from its malicious actions.

While we stand in solidarity with the oppressed and resilient people of Palestine and those who survived the martyr Hanie, the administrative government of the Islamic Republic of Iran declares Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from July 31 to August 2, as days of national mourning throughout Iran,” the statement reads.
