Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi strongly denounced the new sanctions imposed by European countries, deeming them unjustified and provocative.
Araghchi conveyed his disapproval in a phone call with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, discussing nuclear negotiations and regional developments.
He condemned Europe’s move to impose fresh sanctions on Iran, warning that any anti-Tehran actions at the upcoming IAEA meeting will only complicate the situation further.
Araghchi also criticized Germany, France, and the UK for presenting an anti-Iran resolution at the IAEA meeting, stating that it contradicts the constructive engagement Iran has had with the agency.
