Eskandar Momeni made the remarks while addressing reporters in south-central Iran, highlighting the efforts to manage and control foreign nationals since the new Iranian administration took office in July.
Momeni emphasized the necessity of managing foreign nationals from both inside the country and at the zero points, stating that one of the main challenges is the repeated illegal crossings of borders.
The Iranian government is actively working towards a complete blockade on borders, with a focus on utilizing optical sensors for physical and electronic monitoring, the minister explained.
The interior minister’s visit to Kerman coincided with the inauguration ceremony of the 17th Governor of Kerman, Mohammad Ali Talebi, marking a significant event in the region’s governance.
