Iranian and Japanese Foreign Ministers Discuss Continued Talks

Tehran and Tokyo stress need for ongoing dialogue and cooperation.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Japan’s Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya recently engaged in a 40-minute telephone conversation, where they discussed various international and bilateral issues.

Araghchi congratulated Iwaya on his new role as Japan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and the two diplomats highlighted the importance of regular dialogues to strengthen relations between their countries.

They specifically addressed the current situation in West Asia, focusing on developments in Gaza and Lebanon, while also expressing their commitment to enhancing overall ties.

The Iranian and Japanese officials emphasized the need for joint meetings and continuous communication to further promote collaboration and understanding between their nations.
