On Friday, tension arose at Rafik Hariri Airport in Beirut, Lebanon, as security forces searched passengers from an Iranian plane in an unconventional manner.
Behnam Khosravi, the Iranian embassy diplomat in Lebanon, clarified that despite media rumors, the Iranian diplomat’s bag was not inspected, adhering to international rules and diplomatic laws.
The incident was resolved without problems, thanks to the intervention of Iran’s embassy in Beirut and the Iranian foreign ministry.
Contrary to speculation, the diplomat left the airport smoothly, showcasing the importance of diplomatic protocols in such situations.
