Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized Iran’s dedication to being a reliable partner in regional arrangements. He highlighted the country’s efforts to strengthen ties through its economic diplomacy, particularly in regional and multilateral mechanisms.
Aref mentioned Iran’s recent move to become an observer in the Eurasian Economic Union, signaling its commitment to deeper ties and a more active role in the union’s activities in the future. He expressed Tehran’s readiness to enhance cooperation with other nations in crucial sectors like energy, technology, and transit.
Furthermore, Aref discussed Iran’s plans to create the Iran-EAEU corridor to facilitate trade among member states and improve transit capabilities in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. These efforts aim to connect landlocked EAEU member states to global markets.
Highlighting Iran’s participation in the 2025 Almaty Digital Forum, Aref reiterated the country’s focus on economic diplomacy and its willingness to collaborate with international partners for mutual benefit.
