Aref made the remarks while touring an exhibition showcasing Iran’s achievements in the nuclear industry at the AEOI compound. He engaged in discussions with senior managers from the country’s nuclear sector, emphasizing the government’s approach of engaging in constructive negotiations.

He highlighted the need to lift oppressive sanctions imposed by Western countries and criticized their double standards in advising other nations on nuclear technology development while sanctioning Iran for the same advancements.

Aref emphasized Iran’s willingness to resolve issues with the West by considering the interests of both sides, focusing on lifting sanctions while continuing peaceful nuclear programs. He suggested returning to the JCPOA, stating Iran’s readiness to do so if the other parties comply.

Aref criticized the misuse of the IAEA for Western political goals, calling for continued monitoring of Iran’s nuclear program in line with the agency’s principles. He warned against activating the snapback mechanism, as it could lead to the collapse of the JCPOA.
