President of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira, has called an emergency meeting with party leaders to discuss the suspension of committee amendments by Minister Flávio Dino of the Supreme Federal Court.
Minister Dino suspended payments of around R$4.2 billion related to 5,449 amendments, citing irregularities in the process.
The funds in question are tied to the 2024 Annual Budget Law and are specifically designated for RP-8, with decisions on their use requiring joint agreement among committee members.
A mandamus filed by Psol last week questioned changes made to the funds without collegial decision-making, raising concerns of potential improper allocations.
