PLA conducts joint drills around Taiwan as a deterrent

PLA exercises around Taiwan aimed at secessionists

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Eastern Theater Command initiated joint exercises around Taiwan island as a deterrent against secessionist forces. The drills, which involved army, navy, air, and rocket forces, were a necessary measure to protect China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The exercises focused on sea-air combat readiness patrols, seizure of control, anti-sea and land attacks, and blockade of key areas. Military experts noted that the purpose was to showcase the PLA’s joint operation capabilities, precision strikes, and control seizure.

The drills were seen as a stern warning to Taiwan independence separatist forces, emphasizing the PLA’s firm will and strong defense capabilities. The exercises highlighted the PLA’s readiness to defend national sovereignty and counter any attempts at secession.

The joint moves by the China Coast Guard also reinforced the message, conducting law-enforcement patrols and operations in waters surrounding Taiwan island. The actions were in accordance with the one-China principle and aimed at deterring any unauthorized vessels.
