The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy warship Huaibei conducts combat alert patrols and training around the island of Taiwan. The PLA Eastern Theater Command dispatched multiple waves of naval and air forces from Chinese New Year’s Eve to the Lantern Festival.
During a combat alert patrol, the PLANavy warship Huaibei contacted Taiwan island’s warship Yi Yang via radio, extending festive greetings. In addition to maritime forces, multiple J-10C fighter jets took off for combat alert patrols around Taiwan. Multiple H-6K bombers also sortied for round-the-clock flight missions.
China Central Television reported the activities, emphasizing the significance of the traditional Lantern Festival for Chinese people on both sides of the Straits. The exchanges between the naval and air forces during patrols reflect diplomatic gestures and training exercises.
The presence of PLA forces around Taiwan island showcases China’s military preparedness and commitment to safeguarding its territorial interests.
