Popular movements criticize opposition visit to Argentina and Uruguay

Movements defend Maduros presidency against right-wing interference

Argentinians marched in Buenos Aires in defense of Maduro’s presidency, organized by Latin American popular movements.

The visit of opposition leader Edmundo González to Argentina is seen as a disrespect to Venezuelan sovereignty.

González reaffirmed his intention to take office in Caracas on January 10, despite the right-wing opposition.

In Uruguay, the government expressed support for González’s attempt to assume power, labeling Maduro’s government as a dictatorship.
