President Lira supports compliance with agreement between Powers

President of the Chamber, Arthur Lira, addressed the decision of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) to suspend the payment of parliamentary commission amendments.

Lira defended the procedures followed by the Chamber for the payment of amendments and assured that all agreed steps between the Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary are being respected.

He also announced that he will appear before the Supreme Court on Friday to provide clarification on the matter.

Lira responded to criticisms regarding the suspension of committee activities in the last week of legislative work before the year-end recess.
