PT Headquarters in Diadema Vandalized

PT headquarters in Diadema attacked and vandalized.

The Municipal Directory of the Workers’ Party (PT) in Diadema (SP) was vandalized on Tuesday. According to the PT, the headquarters was invaded, objects were stolen, and all areas were damaged. Photos of the President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and former President Dilma Rousseff were defaced.

Despite the motivations behind the crime not being known yet, it is emphasized that a democratic society requires organized and strong political parties. The attack on the PT in Diadema is seen as an assault on political freedom and democracy in the country.

The PT bench in the São Paulo State Legislative Assembly called for a thorough investigation into the motives behind the crime. Solidarity was expressed towards the party members in Diadema, and a demand for authorities to clarify the attack was made.

The State Public Security Secretary stated that the Civil Police is investigating the case. Representatives from the establishment reported to the police station, where a report was filed detailing the vandalism and theft of computers and other items. Police have requested forensic analysis to aid in identifying the perpetrators.
