Russia finalizes $5.56 billion in defense contracts at the Army 2024 Forum.

At the Army 2024 Forum, Russia closed additional defense contracts totaling 500 billion rubles (approximately $5.56 billion), announced Anatoli Guliáev, head of the Russian Armed Forces’ Main Armament Directorate.

These deals include six signed contracts and 11 awarded, adding over 500 units of weapons and nearly one million destruction devices to the Russian military’s arsenal. Guliáev emphasized that these contracts are supplementary, as the planned 2024 and 2025 defense contracts are already nearly fully covered.

The forum, held annually in Kúbinka, near Moscow, featured participation from over 120 foreign companies and military delegations from 83 countries.

90% of the BRICS members were present with a formal delegation.
