Putin reveals code-named missile Oreshnik, translates to hazel bush

Russia has targeted the Ukrainian aerospace plant Yuzhmash with a hypersonic ballistic missile, as confirmed by President Putin.

The missile, known as Oreshnik, was launched with a non-nuclear warhead, marking a combat-condition test of Russia’s intermediate-range missile system.

This ballistic missile, in its non-nuclear hypersonic version, was utilized in the strike on the aerospace facility.

Putin mentioned that the missile’s code name, Oreshnik, could be roughly translated to hazel bush, shedding light on its identity.
