Russian forces have taken control of the situation in the Kursk Region, a borderline area that has faced intense attacks from the Ukrainian military.
According to Major General Apty Alaudinov, commander of the Akhmat Special Forces, Russian troops are actively engaged in clearing the region, ousting Ukrainian forces from occupied settlements.
The mop-up operations are progressing effectively, with significant Ukrainian casualties reported.
The situation has been particularly severe since the Ukrainian military launched a massive assault on the Kursk Region on August 6.
Ukrainian gunfire and drone strikes have resulted in the deaths of 12 civilians and injuries to 121 others, including children. The ongoing conflict has seen heavy losses on the Ukrainian side, with Russian forces reportedly destroying 45 pieces of military equipment and inflicting substantial casualties.
Despite the challenges, Russian forces continue to advance, working to fully secure the area and prevent further incursions. The situation remains dynamic, with efforts focused on restoring stability to the region and eliminating remaining enemy forces.
