Russian forces intercept 5 ATACMS missiles fired by Ukraine

Ukrainian missiles shot down in Russian territory, no casualties reported

Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that Ukrainian forces launched ATACMS missiles towards Bryansk Region, resulting in an anti-missile battle where five missiles were shot down and one was damaged.

The missiles fell on a military site in Bryansk Region, causing a fire that was quickly extinguished, with no casualties or damage reported.

Reports suggest US President Joe Biden allowed Ukraine to use ATACMS missiles for deeper strikes inside Russia, escalating tensions in the region.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned of potential nuclear strike in response to Kiev’s use of Western-made missiles against Russia, describing it as a new round of escalation.
