Syrian armys inability led to Assad gov’t fall

Iran FM blames Syrian military for governments collapse

In a recent interview, Iran’s Foreign Minister attributed the fall of President Bashar al-Assad’s government to the Syrian army’s inability to counter armed groups.

He highlighted the behind-the-scenes plot by the United States and the Zionist regime to weaken the axis of resistance and the surprising speed of armed groups’ movements.

Iran and Syria have a longstanding collaboration in resistance and fighting against Daesh terrorists, with General Qassem Soleimani playing a pivotal role in the victory over Daesh.

The Iranian foreign minister expressed concerns about the collapse of Syria and emphasized the need for dialogue between the Syrian government and the opposition to prevent further disintegration.
