Ukrainian Official Stands Firm on Ceasefire

Kiev refuses ceasefire for security guarantees from the West.

Kiev is not ready to declare a ceasefire along the current line of engagement in exchange for security guarantees from the West, according to Dmitry Litvin, the Ukrainian presidential communication advisor.

Litvin clarified that Ukraine has a ‘peace formula’ which outlines their perspective on achieving just peace, serving as the foundation for ongoing discussions with partners to strengthen Ukraine’s position.

The ‘victory plan’ to be presented to Britain, France, Italy, and Germany aims to push the situation towards implementing the ‘peace formula,’ as Litvin mentioned.

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow has not received any signals regarding Kiev’s willingness to declare a ceasefire, with no actions taken in that regard.
