The United Nations, through the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), has accused Israeli forces of torturing Palestinian prisoners, including using dogs and simulated drowning techniques.
This has reportedly led to the deaths of at least 53 prisoners since October 7.
The report by OHCHR, led by Director Volker Turk, details abuses such as forcing prisoners into cage-like cells, keeping them naked except for diapers, and subjecting them to beatings, electric shocks, and cigarette burns.
