The Minister of the Interior of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, denied the allegations that extreme right leader Maria Corina Machado had been arrested during opposition protests in Caracas. He stated that Machado’s supposed detention was “an invention, a lie”. Before the minister’s confirmation, no Venezuelan security force had commented on the incident.
